Banaba leaves contain a substance called corosolic acid. Corosolic acid helps your body break down sugars and carbohydrates so they can be transported throughout your body to be used as a source of energy. Apparently, corosolic acid has the ability to repair the connection between insulin and insulin receptors. What does this mean exactly? It means banaba leaf extract makes it much harder for your body to be in a state of insulin resistance.
Because banaba leaf extract has this ability to stimulate glucose transport into cells, it can play a significant role in helping diabetics to maintain healthy blood sugar levels. It’s also thought that banaba leaf extract could play a role in weight management.
