More vindication for a natural Mediterranean-style diet, including plenty of extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) and nuts was revealed in an advanced study published by the prestigious journal Atherosclerosis. A team of scientists at Teagasc, the Irish Agriculture and Food Development Authority and Memorial University, Newfoundland, reports that seaweed is commonly used in cosmetics and other skin treatments, but that the marine plant is in rich healthy compounds, so people should consider eating more of it.
