What are the dangers of root canals?
You may have a colony of bacteria in your mouth that you aren’t even aware of, especially if you haven’t heard about the dangers of root canals to your total body health.
Dr. George Meinig, a dentist and one of the founders of the American Association of Endodontists, asserts in his book The Root Canal Cover Up that a root canal is paramount to leaving an organ that dies to rot inside Continue reading
Supermarket surprise could leave you sick and angry
You know that old saying that truth is stranger than fiction? Well it turns out that the ingredient labels on some of our favorite foods may be pure fiction — and the strange truth is going to leave you furious. Continue reading
Strong words, I know – but time and again science has proven that the prostate specific antigen (PSA) screening is unreliable at best, downright dangerous at worst. Even the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) spoke out in opposition to the PSA, Continue reading
Not much information comes out of Japan about Fukushima anymore, and the American MSM seems to have forgotten what watered down reporting they had done earlier. But the human suffering has begun in Japan, and even the Japanese government is trying to pretend it’s not happening.
The curtain is pulled over Continue reading
Beer bellies are even more dangerous than we thought.
While it’s long been known that men with excess fat around their abdomens are at elevated risk of high blood pressure, Type 2 diabetes, and other problems, new evidence has emerged that links the common condition to osteoporosis. Continue reading
We recently published an article in Underground Health Reporter warning that heart disease is the No. 1 cause of death, according to the Centers of Disease Control. Every 25 seconds, an American will have a coronary event.
This deadly, Continue reading
Genetically modified organisms (GMOs) are everywhere. Even when we make our best effort to eat organically, a GMO will slip through here and there — we eat out or cheat with a few conventional corn chips. Usually the body can handle a few mishaps every once in a while, but shocking information about the Bt-toxin found in genetically engineered crops has scientists (and consumers) worried. This toxin has the potential to turn our intestinal system into a literal ‘pesticide factory’ Continue reading
A morsel of health news says that there is a high risk of fractures, falls, and osteoporosis among epilepsy patients using antiepileptic drugs. And most patients are unaware of the risks associated with taking the drugs. For that reason, we discuss it here, because staying knowledgeable is the best defense against injury or ill health. Continue reading
Unless the rice you buy is certified organic, or comes specifically from a farm that tests its rice crops for genetically modified (GM) traits, you could be eating rice tainted with actual human genes. The only known GMO with inbred human traits in cultivation today, a GM rice product made by biotechnology company Ventria Bioscience Continue reading
Paint-stripping products containing methylene chloride can be deadly if you inhale them. The highly volatile, colorless and toxic chemical is widely used as a degreaser and paint stripper and is available in many over-the-counter products sold at home-improvement stores. Applied in a confined space like a bathroom, this chemical is particularly dangerous.
An investigation started by researchers at Michigan State University (MSU) in 2011 has found that 13 deaths since 2000 — including three in Michigan — have involved the use of paint-stripping products containing methylene chloride.
“To use products Continue reading
Obesity is common among patients with mental illness, occurring in up to 60% of patients with bipolar disorder, 70% of patients with schizophrenia, and 55% of patients with depression. A review by Taylor and colleagues in the current issue of the Canadian Journal of Psychiatry analyzes why mental illness is associated with higher rates of obesity. Continue reading
More vindication for a natural Mediterranean-style diet, including plenty of extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) and nuts was revealed in an advanced study published by the prestigious journal Atherosclerosis. Early results from a Spanish study with more than 7500 participants demonstrates that high quantities of dietary EVOO and a variety of different species of nuts is more effective in managing and preventing a heart event than traditional drug therapy. Many physicians place their patients on the standard prescription of beta blockers and ACE inhibitors in a desperate effort to prevent advancing heart disease, even though repeated studies prove these drugs are detrimental to long-term health. Include copious amounts of EVOO and nuts in your diet to dramatically lower heart disease risk and avoid the need for risk drugs. Continue reading
People seem to be in two camps these days. There are those who know that the radiation from Fukushima is dangerous and will have impacts, so they protect themselves through diet and supplementation. And there are those who think it`s all fine and even radioactive poisons with half lives of tens of thousands of years won`t harm them. The latter group will almost surely be stunned to find themselves with cancer, Alzheimer`s disease, or any variety of toxicity-induced diseases because they still haven`t understood that poisons cause disease and that there`s quite a bit each of us can do to influence the equation – without a doctor involved at all. Many people are eating seaweed these days and it`s an important step with any radiation disaster. Another important step is to get serious about detoxification – especially using enemas with coffee, seaweed and cilantro.
Why coffee, seaweed and cilantro? Well, coffee enemas have been around for ages. They actually used to be in the Merck manual as a standard for health – before the drug companies Continue reading
Is our lack of motion killing us? Absolutely. In fact, one of our most unhealthy “activities” is our lack of activity, the sedentary lifestyle of our first-world nation status, where more and more, we sit – at a desk, at a computer, in front of a television – nearly every day of the week, as opposed to engaging in any meaningful physical activities.
In fact, some experts even say our chronic immobility is as dangerous to our health as cigarettes.
“Smoking certainly is a major cardiovascular risk factor and sitting can be equivalent in many cases,” Dr. David Coven, cardiologist with St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York, said.
Coven said the latest research indicates that Continue reading
