Some of the most powerful health supplements can often come from very ordinary products. And, recent research has shown that one of the best ways to fight harmful bacteria is simply to drink some lime juice. If you want a real solution to acid reflux indigestion, don’t follow the conventional wisdom of conventional physicians. While drug companies and mainstream doctors maintain that acid reflux, acid indigestion and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) result from too much stomach acid, they’ve got the situation backwards: Reflux results from too little stomach acid, not too much.

Acid reflux results from having too little hydrochloric acid (HCl), the “good” stomach acid. When the stomach does not produce enough HCl, foods cannot be digested properly. This causes indigestion, as food sits in the stomach far too long. The longer that food lingers, the more stomach acid is necessary to break it down. This stagnant situation leads to prolonged acid reflux.
Americans are in the habit of reaching for quick-relief tablets when experiencing pain and illness. In the case of acid indigestion, Continue reading
Rumors are circulating regarding a potential European ban on natural herbal health products (The European Directive on Traditional Herbal Medicinal Products, THMPD). People, who prefer natural over pharmaceutical medicine, are rightfully concerned. There is no reason to panic however. Food is essential and cannot be banned. Ancient Hippocrates’ idea of letting food be thy medicine and letting medicine be thy food comes into its own in this situation. It’s a matter of understanding what will benefit and heal the body (and what won’t), and then being consistent in applying what you know. That way you may well have an edge over others, who take many expensive supplements (ignorant of the superiority of nutrients within their naturally occurring packages) and who are uninformed about important lifestyle facts.
